Rickey Henley Henderson (born December 25, 1958 as Rickey Nelson Henley) is an American former Major League Baseball left fielder who played for nine teams from 1979 to 2003, including four stints with his original team, the Oakland Athletics.

Henderson played for the New York Mets from 1999-2000. Henderson coached first base only in 2007. He replaced Howard Johnson who became the hitting coach. Prior to being the first base coach he was special instructor in 2006 primarily to work with hitters and to teach base stealing.
