- Mike Baxter hit his first homerun of his career in the 6th inning to score 2 runs to make the lead 3-0 over the reds.
- To win the batting title in the NL Jose Reyes just had one at-bat in the first inning on 1-0 count on a bunt single and was taken out of the game.
The Mets ended the season with a record of 77-85.
