Starting on May 25, 2010-May 27, 2010 the Mets hosted a 3 game series against the first place rival the Philadelphia Phillies.

Game 1Edit

The Mets put R.A. Dickey on the mound after his last start against the Washington Nationals. He got his first win as a Met (His first win of April, 2009). He also took a shot of Philadelphia Phillies, Ryan Howard off his left elbow which became a line drive. He had to get that elbow examined between innings. He took the X-RAY. The Result was Negative. The Mets could not afford another pitcher on the DL. So then the Mets put Raul Valdes to close it out and the Mets won 8-0. Former Mets Brian Schneider and Nelson Figueroa came back to New York. Nelson gave 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Game 2Edit

The Mets put Hisanori Takahashi on the mound to make his second start as a major league starter. The last time he pitched was in Game 2 of the Mets Vs. Yankees in the Subway Series. He got his first win as a major league starter. The Mets beat the Phills again to a score of 5-0.

Game 3Edit

The Mets put their top pitcher next to Santana, Mike Pelfrey on the mound as he got his 7th win of the season. The game had a Rain Delay for 1 Hour and 55 Minutes. Then it was cleared then Pelfrey will throw the first pitch at 9:05 PM. The Mets scored 3 runs to win as they beat the Phills again 3-0.

  • The Mets beat the Phillies in all three games by sweeping them to shutout wins in order. 8-0, 5-0, 3-0.
