Lucas Christopher Duda (born February 3, 1986) is a Major League Baseball infielder/outfielder for the New York Mets.

2007-2009Edit

He was drafted by the Mets in the 7th round in the 2007 draft. He played in the minors since then.

2010Edit

He was called up to the majors on September 1. See Frenchy Gone, Mets Not. He made his debut on September 3. He was part of the September Callups. On September 17 he hit his first major league homerun off Atlanta Braves pitcher Tommy Hanson in the Mets 6-4 loss.

He was called back up to the team on May 3, to fill in Jason Bay's spot. He played against the Giants but lost to a score of 6-7 in 10 innings. He was sent back as Jason Bay came off the Paternity List on May 5, due to his wife giving birth to their 3rd child.

He returned to the Mets on June 10, Duda returned to the Mets as they DFA'd Nick Evans on June 9. With the current injury to Ike Davis he became the Mets new first baseman on June 11, for the first time in his major league career. He began in the Minors as a first baseman until he became an outfielder. On August 7 he had played 1B at RF in Murphing Out in the Tomato Crushed Game. He got his first walkoff of his career as Baxter,Duda Rally over Padres.

2012Edit

On April 7 he hit first 2 homeruns of the season making it his first multi homerun game of his career. For more see Duda blasts Mets over Braves. He was sent down to the Bisons on July 24 along with the Pedro Beato to make room for Matt Harvey and Manny Acosta. He returned on August 26 as Jordany Valdespin was sent down.

2013Edit

Duda was placed on the DL on June 23 as Zach Lutz took his spot on the roster.
