Francisco José Rodriguez (born January 7, 1982) is a closer for the Milwaukee Brewers. Nicknamed K-Rod and Frankie.

2008[]

On December 10,2008 he signed a 3 year deal worth $37 million. Since Johan Santana is currently wearing 57 and Frankie wore that with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim his number was reversed to 75.

2009[]

On April 6 he got his first save as a Met against the Cincinnati Reds. In the Fenway series he was taken to the hospital with a back injury but returned the next day to the club. On June 12 he had a blown save in a subway series game against the yankees as Luis Castillo dropped a pop-up to make the yanks win.

2010[]

K-rod got the win in the The 20 inning game.

2011[]

On July 12 he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers for 2 players to be named later. To see more details on the trade see Mets Trade K-Rod. The player were announced on September 1 and they were Daniel Herrera and Adrian Rosario.

Argument with family member at Citi Field[]

On August 11,2010, K-Rod had an argument with his wife then with this father in law and he punched his father in law in the face and he was trying to leave the stadium but he was stopped and was asked to go back and there he was busted.

He was on the restricted list on the Mets roster. He will not play for 2 days and will not get paid during those two days. To read more click here.
